WHERE THIS LIVES IN ARC
Sidebar Overview Dashboard

ARC is built around one page. Dashboard opens on Today, and almost everything you do on shift starts from there. It has three tabs: Needs attention, Children and My shift. See The staff dashboard.

Start of shift

Read the handover. On My shift, the Shift handover card shows whether the handover has notes yet. Choose Open handover and read it before anything else; it is how you find out what is carried over. See Hand over a shift.

Clear anything asking for you. Needs attention collects plans and risk assessments to read and confirm, and records a manager has sent back to you. The number on the tab is how many. If it is empty, it says You're all caught up.

Check what's booked. The Appointments card on My shift lists today's, then Next up.

During the shift

Open Children and choose the young person. Their card lists Still to do (the logs due this shift or today), Done today and As needed. Select a row to record it. Additional logs holds the rest, and Incident is on the card too.

Write it as it happens. See Record a log and Required logs, or Quick log on your phone if you are away from a desk.

Your tasks on My shift shows house tasks and tasks assigned to you, overdue first. See Tasks.

End of shift

Your logs have already built each young person's journal day. Today's journal on a young person's card opens it. Fill any gaps and submit it. See Write and submit a journal day.

Then write the handover for the team coming on.
