The manager dashboard and your review queue
What ARC puts in front of a home manager each day: the tiles, the Needs attention queue, and what the senior dashboard adds.
Open Dashboard from the sidebar and ARC gives you the page for your role. A manager lands on Today, a senior on Shift oversight. Both are built the same way, and both open on Needs attention. It is a daily page: what is waiting on you now, not an inspection-readiness view or a trend report.
Under the heading, ARC shows who is covering out of hours: On-call cover tonight with a name, or No on-call cover set tonight. See On-call.
The tiles
Each tile opens the tab that holds the detail.
| Tile | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Required logs overdue | Logs past their due time that nobody has recorded, across the children and the home. Opens Children. |
| Logs completed this shift | Completed over due, with how many are still to record. Opens Children. |
| Past due | Open tasks past their due time, plus plans and risk assessments past their review date. Opens Needs attention. |
Needs attention
One queue, grouped by what kind of attention each item needs. The number on the tab is the total.
| Group | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Overdue | Deadlines ARC is tracking that have passed, longest first |
| Due soon | The same feed, not yet passed. See Due and overdue |
| Returned to you | Records a manager has sent back to you for changes |
| Waiting for your review | Records waiting for a manager's review or sign-off (managers only) |
| Read and confirm | Plans and risk assessments you have to read and confirm |
When more than one kind is waiting, filters appear: All, Overdue and due, Returned, To review and To read and confirm. Each group shows four rows, then Show N more.
Each row has one action: Review, Open, Reopen or Open to read. On a wide screen, selecting a row opens a preview panel beside the list. For an incident it includes Before sign-off, which marks each compulsory section done or outstanding, so you can see whether it is ready to sign before you open it.
Reviews are built live from the records themselves, so there is no separate list to fall out of step. They come from incidents, journals, risk assessments, handovers, keywork, complaints, consents, contact logs, rewards, sanctions, activities, appointments, medication errors and home account entries and checks. See Review medication errors.
If nothing is waiting, the tab says You're all caught up.
The Children and My shift tabs
Children is the same card your staff use, one young person at a time, so you can see and record what is due. My shift holds the handover, appointments and your own tasks. See The staff dashboard.
The senior dashboard
A senior's Shift oversight page has the same tiles and tabs, with no Waiting for your review group. Below them is Across the home: Required logs (what is due, and who is still missing one) and Staff activity this shift, a table of events, records and tasks for each person.
