The Home Overview

One page about the building rather than a child: its certificates, its registers, what it holds, and the jobs about the house.

Sidebar Overview Home Overview

Home Overview is the page for the home itself. It gathers what a manager is asked for on an inspection day, and what staff need to see on shift, so it is not scattered across several places. The heading is the home's name, with its address, how many young people live there and the registered beds.

It is separate from your dashboard, which is about what is waiting on you.

The tabs

Tab What it holds
Overview Four or five tiles, then a short section for each of the others, showing only what needs attention
Compliance Every certificate and safety check recorded for the home. See Certificates and renewals
Logs The last 90 days of entries in the home's registers, such as sharps and cutlery. See Registers and inventory
Inventory What the home holds, item by item
Tasks Open jobs about the house rather than about a child

A tab only appears if you are allowed to see it.

The tiles

Each tile opens the tab behind it.

Tile What it counts
Certificates expired Certificates past their expiry date
Expiring within 30 days Certificates inside 30 days of expiring
Incomplete logs Registers with nothing recorded for more than seven days
Inventory items short Items whose last count was below what the home should hold. Shown only once the home has an inventory
House tasks overdue Open house tasks past their due date

Tasks

The Tasks tab lists the open tasks that belong to the home and not to a child, due soonest first, with Open, Due today and Overdue counts. Select one to open it, or choose New task to add one. Renewal jobs for certificates appear here too. See Tasks.

Who can do what

Everyone who works in the home can look at all of it, and can record a register entry. Adding or changing certificates, and changing what the inventory says the home should hold, is for a manager or a company admin. Correcting or removing a colleague's register entry, and closing off a discrepancy, is for a manager.
