Everyone can search. Results are filtered to what you could already open.

WHERE THIS LIVES IN ARC
Header Search

Search covers the home you're currently in. Type at least two characters.

What it looks through

  • Young people
  • Incidents
  • Safeguarding concerns
  • Complaints
  • Care plans
  • Physical interventions
  • Return home interviews
  • Regulation 40 notifications

You'll see up to five matches of each kind, so a broad search gives you a spread across record types rather than fifty children and nothing else.

It only shows what you can already open

Search is filtered by exactly the same permissions as the records themselves. A staff member searching a young person's name won't see safeguarding concerns in the results, because they couldn't open them either.

That works the other way too: search is not a way to check whether something exists. If you can't see it, it doesn't appear — no "restricted result" row, no count. DSL-private material and staff allegations are held back even from people who can see ordinary concerns.

One home at a time

Results come from your currently selected home. If you work across two homes and can't find something, check which home you're in before assuming it's missing.
