What's new in ARC
Where to read what has changed in each release, and why some people are shown it when they sign in and others see a marker.
Anyone signed in. Nothing is gated on a permission.
When ARC changes in a way you would notice, the release comes with short notes written for the people who use it. They say what is New and what is Improved, a line each, without technical detail.
Where to find them
Open the account menu at the foot of the sidebar (headed My Account) and choose What's new. It is always there, whether or not you have read the latest notes.
A small dot next to What's new means the current notes are unread.
In the notes, All updates opens a page listing earlier releases, newest first. Got it closes them.
Who is interrupted
When there are new notes, managers and organisation administrators are shown them as soon as they open ARC. Seniors and staff are not: a pop-up in front of someone recording an incident is the wrong moment. They see the dot, and can read the notes when they choose.
Closing the notes counts as having read them, so they will not appear again for that release.
When there are no notes
Not every release has notes. A release without them announces nothing, so nobody is shown the same notes twice.
