There is no ARC password to remember or reset. You prove it's you with a code sent to your work email.

  1. Go to the sign-in page and enter your email address. Use the address your invite was sent to.

  2. Open the email and read off the 6-digit code. It usually arrives within a few seconds.

  3. Type the code in.

That's it. You'll stay signed in on that device until you sign out.

The code has a short life

A code lasts 15 minutes. After that it stops working and you need a new one — so don't dig out this morning's email tonight.

Requesting codes over and over doesn't help either: the number of attempts is limited to stop other people guessing their way into a young person's records. Ask once, wait a moment, then check your junk folder.

Why there's no password

Passwords in a care setting tend to end up written down, shared across a shift, or reused from somewhere else. A code that expires in 15 minutes can't be any of those things — and every sign-in is tied to one person's inbox, which is what makes the audit trail on a record mean something.
